I'm not sure I like our Au Pair

This is the first experience we have had with an au pair and I have to say, it has been a very difficult transition.  We matched rather quickly and we have learned the questions we missed in our interview process so we'll be better prepared next time (if there is a next time).  Our au pair, I will call her "Faith", is a stubborn, selfish, thoughtless snotty teenager!  I recently found out she is blogging about her daily experiences here and she is posting way to much personal information about our family and our children.  I understand that today's youth have a much different lifestyle technologically speaking but don't we, as host families, have a reasonable expectation of privacy?  My husband has a government job and her posts can put his job, and the safety of our family, in jeopardy.  We have talked about how "This isn't Kansas anymore", life in the US isn't like it is in your tiny, European country.

Liking your au pair

I would say that if you have already discussed her posting content and she continues to do it, maybe it is time to have your LCC talk with her as well.  If the au pair is she is using a laptop, it is difficult for you to monitor what she is posting, however, if she is using a home computer, you could take away that privelege if she doesn't respect your wishes or at least monitor what she is posting.  Talking with your LCC may also help confirm that you have a "stubborn, selfish, thoughtless snotty teenager"  (au pairs are human) on your hands and that maybe the match is not a good one.
